BRE research has shown that perhaps 2 million dwellings suffer from wall tie corrosion or failure, the result of various factors including ineffective galvanising, corrosive mortars or simply old age. Often the problem is made worse by insufficient ties having been installed in the first place.

Left to develop, horizontal cracks may appear in external mortar joints as rusting ties expand and ultimately the structural integrity of the wall is impaired, threatening possible collapse in high winds.

We now use only thor helical stainless steel non mechanical remedail wall ties as it is now known that mechannical neoprene ties can degrade in time.

.Existing ties are generally left in position but isolated to prevent further corrosion. All our work includes a 30 year gurantee.
